libnetpacket-perl software package provides modules to manipulate network packets at the protocol level, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libnetpacket-perl
libnetpacket-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libnetpacket-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libnetpacket-perl *
You will get with libnetpacket-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
